Calacatta is a warm white marble defined as one of the finest marbles in the world. It is quarried in the area of Carrara, Versilia and Garfagnana and its large veins can tend to have different shades according to the quarrying area. Typically, the basic type has a tendency to grey-brown color. It is a precious marble that is used almost exclusively for interior decoration and design.
